About Me

Why this blog?

I worked ten years on Wall Street and another ten years teaching Wall Street. Throughout this time, I've been really good at landing amazing jobs and making bold career transitions.

I spend a lot of time with college and graduate students. I also do a lot of informal career coaching. Most undergraduates are not receiving sophisticated job search advice. Most are not learning, in a detailed way, what is fundamentally a set of skills they can develop, along with a systematic process they can follow, for getting the jobs they target.

In this blog, I lay out my advice on assessing, researching, networking, interviewing, and closing on career opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students targeting careers in finance.

As a visitor here, you are part of a fantastic community of college students and early-career professionals looking to develop awareness of, and skills in, the best-practices related to job search. If there are questions you would like addressed in this blog, please contact me. You can also connect with me on LinkedIn.

I look forward to hearing from you!
